Alumni Update - Nathan Goetz

26 July 2017

The Emmanuel College community would like to congratulate former student Nathan Goetz on his appointment as a full-time member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal of Australia.
During his time at SPC, Nathan embraced the spirit of 'Life to the Full' - he was a member of victorious debating teams, performed in college musicals, travelled to Rome as a World Youth Day pilgrim, and served as both student vice-president and student board member in 2001. Nathan was deservedly named Student Marianist in 2000.
Nathan studied Law and Arts on a scholarship from Bond University, graduating in 2005. He was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria, and as an Australian lawyer in the High Court, in 2007.
Since then Nathan has worked in legal practice, as a judge's associate in the Victorian County Court, and as a senior prosecutor with the Northern Territory Director of Public Prosecutions. He also supported his local community by volunteering as a night-service lawyer at the Western Community Legal Service from 2006-2017.
