Opportunities

At Emmanuel College students are encouraged and challenged to be their best through year level camps, sport and outdoor education, interschool competition, the performing and visual arts, work in our local primary schools and during College tours. They learn more about themselves and others and experience a rich range of opportunities to live life to the full.

Showcasing Skills & Talents

Students at both campuses have the opportunity to participate in the College Musical and Drama programs and may elect to participate in the individual instrumental music program.

In addition, the College offers the following opportunities for students to showcase their talents:

Music

The Music program provides exciting opportunities for music aficionados and novices alike. Students are invited to take part in Choir, String Ensemble, Jazz and Concert Band as well as a variety of other collaborative performance occasions.

Pupils interested in instrumental tuition can develop their skills with the support of industry professionals and with the option of borrowing an instrument from the school.

Lessons are available for; violin, viola, cello, alto or tenor saxophone, flute, clarinet, oboe, trumpet, trombone, tuba, French horn, piano, drums, guitar, bass and vocals.

Debating

Over the years, Emmanuel College has achieved debating success in the competitions of both the Associated catholic Colleges and Debating Association of Victoria. These competitions are available to students at all year levels.

Enrichment Experiences

Emmanuel College offers a variety of enrichment experiences. Our Religious Education program extends beyond the classroom to include Retreat Days for all students of all year levels. Students in Year 12 also participate in a three-day Retreat Program, designed to foster spiritual growth in a relaxed setting.

Outdoor education experiences include camps for all Year 7 and 9 students and an optional Year 11 ski trip. Students in Years 8 and 9 have the opportunity to be involved in a surfing experience as part of the Health and Physical Education Program.

We are proud to be able to offer Driver Education and Work Experience to students in Year 10.
