Congratulations to Mr Bobbie Evans, who has been named the 2019 VCAL Teacher of the Year.

The award recognises Bobbie's efforts in building up the College's VCAL/VET program, and in strengthening relationships between the College and the local community.

The VCAL program at Emmanuel College incorporates academic and applied learning, to allow students to develop 'work ready' skills. It also includes VET courses, such as Creative Industries and Business Studies. Each subject focuses on local issues, and encourages students to work with local groups to improve these issues.

Bobbie has completed a Master of Educational Leadership, focusing on pathways from mainstream education to VCAL, and a Cert. IV in Assessment and Training. He also serves on the VCAA VCAL Quality Assurance Panel in the Western Region.
